Going Japanese

I made this cake for a Japanese-inspired 18th birthday party. The debutante gave me a sketch of the cake and the characters from Powerpuff Girls Z. I was very impressed with her drawing skills and was amazed at how creative she and her sisters were when it came to the details of the party.

Making these made me realize how the party planning trend had changed. My friends' and my own 18th birthday celebration years ago (emphasis on the years. hehehe) were so old school and traditional.

...And of course...

....there's the front cover of the Sunstar 2012 Yearbook. I'm so proud to see my red velvet cupcake used as a prop for such an elaborate production. Thank you to Sunstar Publications Network, the brilliant Logane Echavez and to her team. :)

More cakes and cupcakes for 2012!

Its out! I took this picture from a local bookstore. :)

Again!

I'll always be indebted to those who have helped me since I started. I would never be able to repay the kindness and the faith that they have given me. Again, thank you for another set of newspaper features.

Thank you, Fiona Patricia S.Escandor
